RETURN FROM THE WEST
This series was made in the course of a residency at the Bubec Studio, outside of Prague in the Czech Republic. http://www.bubec.cz, http://www.bubec.cz/inpage/rezidencni-program/ http://residencyunlimited.org/organizations/bubec/ Images arise in drawings and paintings from a state of openness and receptivity to residual reverberations subtly present in the psychosphere of any place. Eastern Europe, an ancient center of human culture, echoes with the multitudes of people who have passed through the area, leaving countless stories as a testament to their presence. These drawings arose from working in that incomparably rich and turbulent atmosphere.
