BIRD IN THE HAND

What does a visitation from creatures of the animal realm – especially birds - require of a person? Anyone who has had the experience of holding a bird in one’s hands - perhaps when having to catch a bird who has inadvertently flown into a room to free it – knows that such rare moments require great attention and sensitivity so as not to harm these delicate but hardy creatures. This is a series of visual reflections on such moments, about attention and sensitivity in encounters with creatures and phenomena with whom we share the world.
